Theme: WHY DO THE WICKED PROSPER AND LIVE LONG?
Text: “For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.” – Psalm 73:3.
Comment: Satan the devil, the god of this world, gives the glory of the kingdoms of this world to whomever he wills. (Matthew 4:8-10; 2 Corinthians 4:3, 4) He does this in order to overreach the children of men who are given to evil, ignorance, and immorality – the traits of the wicked. This act of the devil lures men into sinful pleasures, which comes about through lusts and usually culminates in death, except such ones repent. People of God should not be carried away with the allurements and enticements of the wicked because it is but for a moment. “Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end. Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction.” – Psalm 73:17, 18.
