Theme: LORD, TO WHOM SHALL WE GO?

Text: “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” – Matthew 24:12, 13.

Comment: Despite repeated warnings in the sacred volume that God’s organisation is not immune from Satan’s interferences, some still find it a thing incredible when certain characters begin to manifest among the people of God. While not justifying evildoers, the Greatest Teacher did not mince words when he told us: “It is impossible but that offences will come.” (Luke 17:1) Earlier, Jeremiah the prophet wrote under God’s inspiration, to wit: “For among my people are found wicked men; they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men.” (Jeremiah 5:26) The point is, whether these offences come by means of the misdeeds of our fellowship or through trials at Satan’s instance, nothing should separate us from the love of Christ. – Romans 8:35, 37-39; 2 Peter 3:17, 18.
