Theme: IT PAYS TO SERVE TO GOD FAITHFULLY TILL THE END

Text: “Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:” – Hebrews 12:28.

Comment: Serving God sincerely entails having His fear, by departing from evil and practising His righteousness. (Proverbs 8:13; 16:6) The leading text for today clearly indicates that we should serve God with grace. (Titus 2:11-14) It further informs us that the service of God should be done with awe and complete departure from iniquity for us to be qualified to enter the Kingdom of God when it is fully established. “And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity… Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.” – 2 Peter 1:5-11.
