Theme: THE ANTITYPICAL ARK OF NOAH
Text: “And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.” – Luke 17:26, 27.
Comment: In Bible symbolism, the ungodliness of the world of Noah was a type of the state of the world in this last day. (Galatians 1:4; 1 John 5:19) Additionally, the deliverance God gave to Noah and his family is a prophetic illustration of how God would save His people when He destroys the world in this age. As people scoffed at the warning of Noah and derided his preaching, so too, many are doing to the true Ministers of Christ by refusing to accept the truth and do God’s will. Undoubtedly, there are more lovers of pleasures than lovers of God in this age; and high level of surfeiting. (2 Timothy 3:1-5) However, the godly should be circumspect and be filled with the Spirit of God so as to be delivered in the day of the LORD’S anger. – 2 Peter 3:3-7; Ephesians 5:15-18.
