Theme: GIVE DILIGENCE TO MAKE YOUR CALLING AND ELECTION SURE
Text: “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?” – Romans 8:35.
Comment: Living exemplary Christian life in this ungodly world is a requirement that all worshippers must put in focus constantly. Sometimes, children of God are faced with hard situations which threaten their careers, marriages, and even endanger their lives. The temptations are so real that some get tempted to conform to ungodly practice and some have “made a shipwreck of their faith.” St. Paul warns: “Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck”. (1 Timothy 1:19) Rather, we should be resolute in our faith in God as St. Paul declared: “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 8:38, 39.
