Theme: PRAY AND WAIT ON THE LORD
Text: “It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.” – Lamentations 3:26.
Comment: Hope means to desire something with confidence and expectation. Hope in God should not be mixed with doubts or fear. The Almighty God is faithful to His promises. It is not spiritually healthy for one to hope on God and then be filled with murmurings, complaints and actions controlled by anxiety. The Psalmist declared: “I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.” – Psalm 40:1,3,5.
