Theme: THE SANCTITY OF CHRISTIAN MARRIAGE
Text: “Pray at all times and on every occasion… Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers…” – Ephesians 6:18 (New Living Translation).
Comment: It is instructive to imagine our Saviour, Jesus Christ, with all his perfection, power and holiness, declared: “I can of mine own self do nothing”. (John 5:30) In our sincere effort to maintain the sanctity of the Christian marriage, we must count on or look to the help of the Almighty God. King David declared: “I will lift up my eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.” (Psalm 121:1, 2; 37:5) The married couple should create time for prayers because it builds faith that enables them to weather storms that come now and again by God’s grace. “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” – Proverbs 3:5-7.
