Comment: The apostles of Christ are the stewards in the parable. (Matthew 20:8, 9) They are the ones vested with the authority to call, gather or fish out the children of God known in the parable as the labourers into the Lord’s kingdom fold in fulfilment of His promise. “Behold, I will send for many fishers, saith the LORD, and they shall fish them; and after will I send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.”  (Jeremiah 16:16; Matthew 4:18-20) To them also, is committed the work of judgement. (Psalms 149 :5, 6, 9) Thus, the gathering of the children of God into His fold is now ongoing through the preaching of the apostles and their helpers. (Matthew 24:14) People are hereby enjoined to accept the truth and identify with it so as to be blessed and saved in the end by the grace of God. – 1 Timothy 2:3, 4; John 8:31, 32, 36.
