Text: “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” – Romans 5:1, 2.
Comment: Man’s burden of sin is lightened and removed through “justification by faith” – “the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”; without which, “it is impossible to please God. (Hebrews 11:1, 6) Faith brings grace and salvation. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2: 8, 9) Apostle Paul added that justification by faith gives peace from Christ Jesus, and access by faith into the grace of God; wherefore believers should “…glory in tribulations” which work patience, experience, and hope which “maketh not ashamed”; because Christ died to redeem the ungodly into the “commonwealth of Israel”, and to unite and strengthen the Church in God. – Romans 5:1-6; Ephesians 2:11-22.
