Theme: IT PAYS TO SERVE TO GOD FAITHFULLY TILL THE END

Text: “Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.” – Joshua 1:7.

Comment: The text for today is a charge which God gave to Joshua when the mantle of leadership fell upon him after the death of Moses. This charge informs us that despite the trials or temptations, commotions, persecutions, perils, etc., happening in this age of the end of the world, we should remain focused, so as not to deviate from His way. (Luke 21:9-12; 2 Timothy 3:1-5; Acts 14:22) This entails being strong and courageous in the Lord. “If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.” (Proverbs 24:10) Jesus Christ said: “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” – Matthew 24:12, 13. See also Ecclesiastes 7:8.
