Comment: This text is very reassuring especially to those going through difficulties. Numerous examples abound of how God turned unpleasant situations to pleasant ones. The account of Joseph who was sold to slavery by his brothers (Genesis 37:4-36), but with the help of God, he became the one through whom his brethren were delivered from famine. So whenever we are in difficulties, let us always remember that God allowed such for our good. “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:18.
