Theme: BE YE WISE AS SERPENTS AND HARMLESS AS DOVES

Text: “And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.” – Exodus 23:13.

Comment: The Holy Bible clearly shows that we are now living in the last days in which Satan the devil, using his agents and agencies, will continue to lure and entice the children of God to compromise their faith in God. – 1 Peter 5:8.

Thus, the text for today warns us to be alert and spiritually cautious so as not to corrupt ourselves in any shape or form by God’s grace. Apostle Paul exhorting Christians on the need to shun worldliness and to do the will of God stated: “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God. – Romans 12:1,2; see also Jeremiah 10:2.

Christians should keep themselves “unspotted from the world” in order to be accounted worthy to be blessed and saved by the Almighty God in His universal Kingdom when fully established here on earth by His grace. (James 1:27) Jesus Christ warned: “And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come upon them that dwell on the face of the earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.” – Luke 21:34-36.
