Theme: PRAY AND WAIT ON THE LORD

Text: “O LORD, be gracious unto us; we have waited for thee: be thou their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.” – Isaiah 33:2.

Comment: In making our prayers, we appeal for the grace of God. Our sins separate God from us. “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.” (Isaiah 64:6) The Lord is our Protector and Deliverer. We should not take matters into our hands in a haste to achieve anything like King Saul did. Hence, Samuel the Prophet told him in 1 Samuel 13 :13, 14:  “…Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the LORD thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the LORD have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever. But now thy kingdom shall not continue…”
