Theme: AVOIDING AND OVERCOMING ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOURS
Text: “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.” – Psalm 46:1-3.
Comment: Because the devil is busy “going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it”, (Job 1:7), he is always causing difficult situations for people on it which makes them to feel nervous, overwhelmed, tense, panicky, or shocked. People with panic disorder may experience heart palpitations, rapid breathing, and anxiety so extreme that they may not be able to leave home.
This situation would be worse in the last days when “perilous times shall come”. (Luke 21:25,26; 2 Timothy 3:1-5) But God Almighty, the Strength of spiritual Israel, will always be with His people. David stated: “…I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears… (Psalm 34:3-5) In spite of the number of people in the world, many are in fact lonely for which reason they feel unwanted, unappreciated, left out, ignored, unloved, ugly, or rejected. This should not be among people of God who know that God loves them to the extent that He sent His son to die for them. (John 15:13,14) Loneliness should not be among Christians, for whom love for one another is a cardinal principle. We should know that as long as we are doing the will of God, He will always be with us. (2 Chronicles 15:1,2; Matthew 28:20) “A new commandment I give unto you,” said Jesus Christ, “That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another…” – John 13:34, 35.
