Theme: The Essence of Self Comportment

ext: “I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me. A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person.” – Psalm 101:2-4.

Comment: The life of David was ordered from childhood, by the LORD, because he was a good man with a perfect heart; but he offended God sorely on different occasions, when he failed to comport himself. (2 Samuel 12:7-12; 2 Samuel 24: 1-32) In all of those cases, God showed His love and care by providing someone to warn David. Whatever our positions in life, or in the work of God, we should comport ourselves within set rules and behaviors expected of us. Given a second chance, King David never committed those sins again, hence he stated in the text for the day that he would behave himself properly, and be stern with people without comportment.
