Theme: FAITH: A WEAPON OF DEFENCE

Text: “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?” – Roman 8:35.

Comment: Satan the devil directs his assaults from several fronts. But as true Christians and children of God, the onus rests on us to resist by all means at our disposal. In our journey through life, challenges and setbacks are bound to arise, all at the instance of the devil and his cohorts. If this we do, we are sure of victory and above all, being ushered into His everlasting kingdom. St Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 3:12. “Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution”. He also declared “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loves us”. He went on to say: “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers… shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 8:37-39.
