Comment: Many people in the world, including false religious leaders; who corrupt the word of God – have discarded their God-given “voice of conscience.” They perpetrate unimaginable evil against their neighbours without feeling any iota of guilt. The spate of terrorism and sundry crimes against humanity has become so widespread that the state of the world in the days of Noah before the deluge comes into mind. St Paul highlights some of the markers of the last days as stated in today’s key text. (1 Timothy 4:1-3) All those whose consciences are burnt (dead) and by this, take pleasure in perpetrating evil in the land, shall receive a full reward for their iniquity at the end if they fail to repent.
