Theme: THE SAVING AND HEALING POWER OF GOD ALMIGHTY
Text: “I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts unto him and to his mourners. I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, saith the LORD; and I will heal him.” – Isaiah 57:18, 19.
Comment: The truth is that God cures His people either through treatments He has revealed to mankind as part of the increase of knowledge in this age or directly by Himself. (Daniel 12:4; Isaiah 35:1-10; Jeremiah 33:6; Malachi 4:2) The citation for today assures us of Jehovah’s care for His people by way of healing them of their ailments on the condition that they do His will. Mercifully, in the Kingdom of God fully established, there would be no sickness or troubles of any sort. (Isaiah 33:24; 35:5, 6; Isaiah 57:18, 19; Revelation 21:1-5) What is required is for those who want the salvation of God to be strong in faith so as to enjoy His favour. Our Redeemer Jesus Christ declared: “…And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” (Matthew 21:21, 22) That was the faith St. Paul and his colleagues had for which he expressed the belief that the Lord shall deliver him from every evil work, and preserve him to inherit His kingdom. – 2 Corinthians 1:10.
May God Almighty Who sustains the entire universe continue to give us the knowledge, understanding and faith to look to Him at all times so as to be healed of our ailments and be delivered from the troubles of this world and be saved in His kingdom when fully established by His grace through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. – Colossians 1:9,10,13,14.
