Theme: GIVE DILIGENCE TO MAKE YOUR CALLING AND ELECTION SURE
Text: “And Paul, earnestly beholding the council, said, Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day.” – Acts 23:1.
Comment: A classic example of a diligent servant of God in the Scriptures is St. Paul. Notwithstanding his background of opposition and persecution of the early Church, he became a very diligent apostle of the gospel the moment he obtained his conversion and anointing as one of the Saints of the Most High. In his epic valedictory message, St. Paul elucidated with a sense of accomplishment his faith and reward for diligent service as an apostle of Christ. (2 Timothy 4:6-8) This should serve as an inspiration for Christians living in this age of the end of the world; where the system of things is increasingly becoming dysfunctional, worldliness being hyped among the youthful generation with emphasis on instant wealth without the fear of God. Therefore, dedication to the service of God should be the watchword of all true believers. – 1 John 2:15-17.
