Theme: DEALING WITH OUR DOUBTS AND FEARS

Text: “The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.”  — Nahum 1:7.

Comment: Jehovah the Almighty God protects and provide for His children. “Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name”. (Psalm 100:1-4) As we live in this world of sin, trouble can crop up at any time. In such times, with faith in God and prayers we should not be carried away by worries and anxieties. In Job 5 :6-9, it is written: “Although affliction cometh not forth of the dust, neither doth trouble spring out of the ground; Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward.” The man of God then declared: “I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause: Which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number.”

Moreover, king David said Psalm 46:1,2,7 “…God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.”
