Text: “He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.” – Revelation 22:11, 12.
Comment: The Holy Bible clearly shows that God made man a free moral agent. (Deuteronomy 30:15, 19) Though man has the freedom of choice as far as his actions are concerned, the consequences of such actions are inevitable as expressed in the leading text for today. We either choose to be unjust and filthy or discipline ourselves to be righteous and holy. All who practise righteousness and strive for holiness will be blessed manifold in this world and be rewarded with eternal life in God’s Kingdom fully established. Let us shun unjust and filthy acts for our own good, and be determined to practise God’s righteousness in holiness by His grace. – 1 John 3:7, 1 Peter 1:14-16.
