Theme: THE EXISTENCE OF GOD

Text: “In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.” – Genesis 3:19.

Comment: God Almighty created human beings to live forever on earth in perfect peace and happiness – on the condition of obedience to His laws. (Genesis 2:16,17) However, man broke the perfect law given to him and death was inevitable as in the citation for today.

But because of disbelief of what the Bible says, some scientists, with funding from rich businessmen, are frantically working on ways of solving the ageing problem and get people to “live, healthily, more or less, indefinitely”. Aubrey de Grey, Chief Scientific Officer, (Sens) Research Foundation in the United States, believes ageing is simply a “medical problem” that science can solve, since human beings are “biological machines”.

After several years of research, many credible scientists have reached one simple conclusion. “You can’t beat death.” A Paper published by the scientific journal, Nature says, “Our results strongly suggest that the maximum lifespan of humans is fixed and subject to natural constraints” The Express newspaper ( United Kingdom) of Wednesday, November 1, 2017 says: “Scientists finally have the answer to the question of whether humans can live forever, saying “DYING is an inevitable part of life and there is no way humans will be able to biologically live forever”. The research say: “humans are born to die”. That man dies, is, in fact, proof of God’s existence. The Bible says no one can by any measure of technological prowess avoid death and that “none can keep alive his own soul”. (Psalm 89:48; Psalms 22:29).  Now that we are alive, we should seek God and serve Him faithfully till the end by His grace and power. – Ecclesiastes 9:5,6,10.
