Text: “For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.” – Hebrews 13:14.
Comment: If there was a time that this statement of St. Paul is so relevant, it is this age that we live in – the last days. Our world today is plagued with so many calamities like sicknesses, natural disasters, economic hardship, and wars, just to mention but a few. The more things appear to be moving forward, the worse they become. No wonder St. Paul offered these encouraging words as a source of comfort to all who seek a perfect world of absolute peace and happiness. Indeed, in this world have we no continuing city. Let us therefore labour to enter into that “city” where mankind will be blessed with everlasting life in perfect peace and happiness. – 2 Peter 3:13, 14; Hebrews 4:8-1
