Theme: THE POWER OF KNOWLEDGE

Text: “For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.”  – James 3:16, 17.

Comment: We live in a secular world that sets great store by the values of secular knowledge and achievements in social, educational and economic realms with negligible regard for spiritual values. The devil dims the light of men’s understanding, puts things in upside down state and de-markets preference for spiritual knowledge.. – Isaiah 5:20.

Some intellectuals in the world have been striving to find out if one can possess information “that is not open to question”. This situation need not arise however, but for the fact that the devil obsesses the minds of men with negative thoughts causing those taken in by his lies to believe and do unreasonable things.  The aim of the devil is to turn the people away from God and cause them to go into destruction. – 1 Peter 5:8,9; Ecclesiastes 7:29.

It is only from the Bible that one can get true knowledge that is credible and consistent, which James the apostle calls “wisdom from above”. “Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.” – Proverbs 3:13, 17,18.Psalm 119:142,151,160;
