Theme: THE PENNY REWARD
Text: “Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.” – Psalms 73:1.
Comment: The service of God requires a heart that is void of evil intentions. A heart that is humble and repentant. A heart that is filled with absolute trust and confidence in God. An evil conscience is not accepted by God no matter how righteous that person appears to be in the eyes of man. The Holy Bible says: “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.” (Jeremiah 17:9, 10) In running the race of salvation so as to get the “penny reward” at the end, a good heart condition is very important. – Proverbs 4:23; Ezekiel 36:26, 27; Psalm 51:10, 11.
