Theme: Guiding Against Despair
Text: “If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small” – Proverbs 24:10
Comment: Life is not a bed of roses. There are days of prosperity and there are days of adversity. In Ecclesiastes 7:14, King Solomon stated: “In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider”. The present life of mankind is filled with multifaceted challenges, as it is written: “Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.” (Job 14:1) It is the will of God Almighty that those who trust in Him should not despair or faint in the days of adversity as the leading text of today states. The Prophet Isaiah spoke of the divine assurances of God for those who put their trust absolutely in the Almightiness of God. (Isaiah 40:28-31) God encourages the faithful. – Isaiah 25:4.
