Theme: THE END OF THE WICKED

Text: “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor never shall be.” – Matthew 24:21.

Comment: The Bible shows that the wicked will not escape punishment. “As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death. Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.” – Proverbs 11:19, 21.

The citation for today shows that evil doers who are alive at the time of the great tribulation will pay dearly for their wicked deeds before they will be destroyed along with satan the devil at the battle of the great day of God Almighty. See also Zephaniah 1:14-18.  The punishment they will receive will be such that they will seek for death but the knowledge of how to end their lives will be taken away from them. The Bible says, “And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.” – Revelation 9:6; Amos 9:1-5; Revelation 19:17-21; 20:1-3. Those who are dead will be resurrected and punished according to their sins. – John 5:28,29.

We should all pray God and be determined to run away from evil so as to be protected and saved by Him by His grace.  “Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.” – Psalm 2:10-12.
