God’s Kingdom is a universal government of righteousness and peace covering both the heavens and the earth. To be inhabited by spirit persons and human beings under the control of Jehovah the Almighty God who is the Blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords. – 1 Tim. 6:15.

Jesus Christ knowing the importance of the Kingdom of God, told his disciples to pray for it to come when he said “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” – Matt. 6:10.

And so, when he was demanded of the Pharisees of the time when the Kingdom would come, he said that the Kingdom would not come with observation. But the Kingdom is within you. (Luke 17:.21,22). The Kingdom would not come with observation means that the Kingdom would not be marked with flourish of trumpets or any kind of demonstrations so as to attract the attention of the whole world. And the Kingdom is within you means that Jesus Christ the appointed King of the Kingdom was in their midst at that time. That is why it is stated in Psalm 2:6 that “Yet have I set up my King upon my Holy Hill of Zion”. And Jesus Christ himself also testify to his kingship before Pontius Pilate when he said “My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered; Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. – John 18:36,37.

After Jesus Christ had successfully concluded ministry on earth, he ascended into the heavens and the father then told him that he should sit down at his right hand until he would make his enemy his footstool as foretold by the Psalmist in Psalm 110:1. (See also Matt. 22:44; Acts 2:34,35) As an obedient Son, Jesus Christ waited patiently on God’s time. The waiting period came to an end and he was then brought before our Heavenly Father, the Ancient of Days, and was crowned as King of God’s Kingdom. (Dan. 7:13,14; Ps 2:6) it was then, in fulfilment of prophecies, the Father commanded him: “Rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.” – Psalm. 110:2.

Following the coronation of Jesus Christ there was war in heaven between him and the devil. (Revelation 12: 7-12) He with his holy angels conquered Satan and drove him with his wicked angels or demons from heaven to the earth. The proclamation by a voice in heaven shows that God’s Kingdom had since then been established in heaven. Said the voice: “Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down. Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them.” (Verses 10-12) But turning to the earth, the voice said: “Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.” (Verse 12).

And Satan the Devil, on reaching the earth, plunged the nations of the world into a global war, the First World War of 1914 – 1918 in order of destroy all flesh. But God Almighty through made that war to cease for the sake of the elect in particular and the “other sheep” in general. (Matt. 24:7,22). The anger of the nations that was clearly expressed in that global war, shows that, Jesus Christ according to the Holy Bible has been coronated in heaven and given the power to reign as it is stated in Rev. 11:17,18… “Because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned. And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.”

After World War 1, Jesus Christ, according to his promise, came in spirit to the earth to raise the dead saints, which include his early apostles, to meet him in heaven (John 14: 1-3; 1st Thessalonians 4: 13-16) and to set up his kingdom on earth by choosing through his angels the remaining ones of the saints or anointed Christians to preach the gospel of the kingdom. – Matthew, 24: 31,14; 2nd Timothy 4: 1.
It is in this last days that God Almighty has promised to set up His Kingdom as it is stated in Isaiah 2:2 that “And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it”

The “Mountain” means God’s Kingdom while the “Mountain of the Lord’s house” means God’s Kingdom belonging of Jesus Christ and his body members, the saints numbering 144,000. They are those who constitute the spiritual house or temple of God. (Luke 12:32; 22:28-30; 1 Cor. 3:16; Heb 3:6). The “mountains” in plural represents Satan’s entire organisations both visible and invisible. And the “hills represents worldly societies or human organisations of any description- formed for social, cultural or charitable purposes or as secret cults and so on. And “All nations” stands for lovers of truth and righteousness in these last days. It is these people that will flee to the Kingdom of God for refuge and protection.

Without doubt, we are now in the last days. In Matt. 24:3-8, the disciples of Jesus Christ came to him and ask him “Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” Jesus told them in verses 7 and 8 that ” nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. And so, for the fact that we have seen these signs as expressed in the First World War, shows that we are now in the last days which therefore also shows that the Kingdom of God has come.

It is revealed in the Holy Bible that seven empires would rule the world as it is stated in Rev 17:10,11. “And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.”

The five kingdoms that were fallen then were the Egyptian empire, Assyrian empire, Babylonian empire, Medo-Persian Empire, Greecian Empire. And the one that was then was the Roman Empire and the one that is not yet come was the British Empire. “The beast that was, and is not” which is the eight, symbolises the defunct League of Nations that went into partial destruction at the outbreak of the Second World War and came up again by another name – United Nation Organisation now the United Nation.

Pointing to this age – the last days, it is stated in Dan 2:44, that “And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. Meaning that when the kingdoms of this world have ruled in their turns and have come together as one, that is, the League Nation, it is then that God Almighty will set up His Kingdom. And so, for the fact that we have seen the League of Nation, it goes to show that the Kingdom of God has come.

Jesus Christ also said in Matt 24:15,16 that “When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains”

The “abomination of desolation” that Jesus Christ prophetically referred to found fulfilment in the defunct League of Nations that was formed in 1919 after the First World War. Daniel, as Christ truly stated, spoke of it as “the abomination that maketh desolate.” (Dan 12:11) It was an abomination because it was characterised by deceit and hypocrisy and yet was glorified and extolled to the skies by the world. Jesus did say: “For that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.” -Luke 16:15; see also Prov. 6:16-19; 11:20.

The League caused desolation in that those nations that trusted in her, especially in Europe were disappointed and destroy at the outbreak of the Second World War. And it stood in a holy place in that it was acclaimed the political expression of God’s Kingdom on earth.

And so, since we have seen the abomination of desolation, which is the League of Nation, it shows that the Kingdom of God has come. And Jesus did warned that those that be in “Judaea” meaning those who love to praise, should flee into the “Mountains” symbolising God’s Kingdom organisation all over the world for safety and protection.

There is need for men generally, but especially the anointed Christians to have a good understanding of these important facts so that they may teach the people aright. That is why Jesus gave this advice: “Whoso readeth, let him understand.”

What is more, as to how the Kingdom of God would come Jesus Christ said that “The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.” – Matt. 13:31,32.

The “mustard seed” represents the remnant of the anointed Christians either individually or collectively whom Jesus Christ the “sower” has promised to choose from different part of the world through his angels for the propagation of the saving gospel of the established Kingdom. The “field” is the world. And the gradual development of the seed which later became the greatest among all herbs, is the gradual growth of the Kingdom which in the long run become greater than other human societies, being the lord spiritual plant. It will become a tree, that is, a mighty organisation with branches on which lovers of truth and righteousness typify by birds in the parable will come to take shelter.

Concerning the gradual growth of the Kingdom Isaiah the Prophet stated: “A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time.” -Isaiah 60:22.

It must be understood, therefore, that any church organisation that is preaching the truth without adulteration and also founded by God using one of His anointed servants in these last days is God’s Kingdom. Without mincing words and without fear of criticisms we say with all sincerity that the God’s Kingdom Society (GKS) is God’s Kingdom in this part of the world. This because, she was founded by God using St. G. M. Urhobo as an instrument and also she preaches the truth without adulteration.

And so, we of the God’s Kingdom Society say in the Lord’s Prayer “Thy Kingdom has come.” Then if the Kingdom has come, why are there still evils and troubles in the world? The fact is that, the Kingdom has not been fully established. It is when the Kingdom has been fully established, that death and other evils will cease.
