Theme: BE YE DOERS OF THE WORD
Text: “Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” – John 3:5.
Comment: Nicodemus, a Pharisee and ruler of the Jews, visited Christ by night. He acknowledged the fact that Christ was sent by the Most High to enlighten mankind of the truth and that the miracles he performed were actually from God. Jesus Christ then instructed him to be born again so as to inherit the kingdom of God. Nicodemus did not understand what Christ meant. He said: “… How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?” (John 3:4) Jesus Christ went further to explain that he should be born of water and of the spirit. That is to say, the word of God, which we hear from time to time should reflect in our lives by way of actions and thoughts being guided by the holy spirit to enable us to be inheritors of the Kingdom of God when it is fully established. – 1 Peter 1:23; James 1:25; Hebrews 12:28.
