Text: “Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.” – Genesis 6:22.
Comment: Noah exhibited the virtue of obedience worthy of emulation by God’s worshippers. He implemented to the letter, all that God commanded him. Speaking through Jeremiah His prophet, God said: “For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices: But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.” (Jeremiah 7:22, 23) It is also pertinent to state that while Noah and his family of seven were saved because of their obedience, the other people living at that time were destroyed because they failed to heed the voice of God. See Job 36:9-12; Romans 2:8-11.
