Theme: WHERE CAN PEACE AND SAFETY BE FOUND?
Text: “The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent’s meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.” – Isaiah 65:25.
Comment: God does not and will never say a thing without doing it. (Isaiah 14:27, Matthew 24:35) Aside from harmony among humans, God Almighty in the text for today, assured that there will also be accord among animals. The horrific scenes we see on wildlife where tigers fiercely chase antelopes and tear them apart or animals hurt or devour humans will no longer be. No animal will be carnivorous in God’s Kingdom, thus portraying the universality and ubiquitousness of peace and security in God’s Kingdom, fully established. Nobody, no animal, nothing shall hurt or destroy in God’s Holy Mountain. (Isaiah 11:6-9) In the Garden of Eden, no animal hurt Adam and Eve. In the den, the lions did not devour Daniel. In the wilderness, no Israelite was reportedly attacked by a wild animal for forty years. In Noah’s Ark, no animal attacked the other, not to talk of attacking Noah. God Almighty who did all these, will still do it again on a global scale. – James 1:17.
