Theme: PRAY AND WAIT ON THE LORD

Text: “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” – Isaiah 40:31.

Comment: It is always the best choice to wait on God as King David says: “Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.” (Psalm 31:24) Temptations and trials come the way of worshippers of God but God’s deliverance as stated in the text for today is sure. St Peter admonished us in 1 Peter 5:7-10, thus: “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.”
