Theme: CULTIVATING FRUITFUL RELATIONSHIP WITH ONE ANOTHER
Text: “And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.” – Genesis 2:18.
Comment: The union of a man and a woman as husband and wife is known as marriage. It was instituted by the Almighty God not only for the accomplishment of His purpose but also for the benefit of men and women. Adam and Eve became the first human couple from whom the entire race of mankind descended. (Genesis 3:20; Acts 17:26) In Genesis 2:24, it is written, “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh”. It is imperative for couples to live together in joy, peace and happiness so as to fulfil this purpose for which God instituted marriage. Saint Paul counselled: “Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.” – Colossians 3:18, 19.
