Theme: FAITH: A WEAPON OF DEFENCE
Text: “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.)” – 2 Corinthians 10:3,4.
Comment: St. Paul, an apostle was a valiant fighter and a defender of the Christian faith. Regardless of the spate of attacks he was subjected to in the hands of agents of darkness, he fought relentlessly with implicit faith. He was not only a conqueror but also he won the highest prize that even places its recipients above angels. He, with iron determination and robust vigour, successfully accomplished his mission. No wonder in 2 Timothy 4:7,8 he stated: “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” A child of God, irrespective of his status in life, should therefore be armed with faith.
