Text: “By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days.” – Hebrews 11:30.
Comment: The children of Israel conquered Jericho by blowing trumpets and moving around the city for seven days according to the word of the LORD. (Joshua 6:1-16, 20). They were victorious because of their faith and obedience to the Lord’s instruction. Therefore, faith in God coupled with obedience to His commandments brings victory, prosperity and success. “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” (1 John 5:4) God told Joshua, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” – Joshua 1:8.
