Only God Almighty can give peace to the world, says GKS President
Efforts to attain peace on earth will be of no avail in as much as Satan is still alive and human beings revel in crime and lawless behaviour.
This declaration was made by the President of God’s Kingdom Society (GKS) – The Church of the Living God – Brother Felix Ekundayo Adedokun during the Christian Feast of Tabernacles celebration which ended last Sunday at the headquarters of the Church, Salem City, Warri, Delta State, Nigeria.
According to Brother Adedokun, “Since the devil is alive and the people of the world have given themselves to sins contrary to the will of God, peace has eluded them.” He added that “It is only when Satan the devil, the author of confusion and evil, has been destroyed by God through His Son Jesus Christ – His battle axe – that mankind will enjoy the peace of God.”
Brother Adedokun charged the government and people of the world to turn to God, obey His voice and worship Him in humility and fear so as to enjoy His peace, pointing out that perfect peace on earth can only be obtained in God’s Kingdom fully established by His grace.
On the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles, there was a holy convocation where the President in his address to the celebrants entitled: “The Issue of Supremacy of God Almighty will soon be Permanently Decided”, charged the people of the world to worship JEHOVAH the Almighty God, exclusively, as He is the Supreme Power in the universe.
The GKS President stated that Satan the Devil, the arch-enemy of God and man, has been feeding people with the false notion that he is the one who ought to be worshipped adding that he is responsible for such practices as spiritism, sorcery, divination, enchantment, witchcraft, necromancy, unnatural sexual practices, and such like. “Through these means he makes the people believe the big lie that when they pay homage to him, they shall not surely die”, the GKS President said.
Citing some biblical examples, Brother Adedokun warned all peoples of the world to worship and fear God Almighty so as to be blessed and saved in the end by His grace.
The eight-day Festival, during which 16 spiritually enlightening sermons were preached, featured Christian Women Assembly, Children’s Assembly, Street Processions, Blessing of Little Children, Musical performances by various choral groups and choirs as well as special thanksgiving and prayers to God.
