Theme: OBJECT LELSSONS FROM THE LIFE AND EPISTLES OF ST. PAUL
Text: “Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.” –1 Corinthians 10:12.
Comment: In St. Paul, we learn humility, sincerity, and unflinching determination to always have “a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men.” In Romans chapter 7, he admits his mortal limitation, and vulnerability to sin, outside God’s help. According to Him: “For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that I do not: but what I hate, that do I.I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.” (Romans 7:15,21) Not minding Satan’s interference, we should be resolute like St. Paul in resisting his antics. (2 Corinthians 2:11) In answer to the question in today’s text, he stated, “God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?” – Romans 6:2.
