GKS WOMEN HOLD SEMINAR IN ACCRA
The womenfolk of God’s Kingdom Society (GKS) – The Church of the Living God – on Thursday, September 28, 2023 held a successful seminar to mark this year’s celebration of Christ’s Birth Anniversary (Freedom Day).
The seminar which took place at the newly-constructed GKS Service Hall, Dansoman, Accra was attended by a large section of female delegates from Nigeria.
In his opening speech, the Officiating Minister, Brother Theophilus T. Iwoh thanked the Almighty God and His only begotten son, Jesus Christ for the protection, guidance and strength accorded members who had made the long travel by road from Nigeria to Accra. He quoted and explained Psalm 92:1-3 and the statement of Christ in Matthew 11:25-27.
Later, Sister Ufuoma Onaghise, Vice Chairperson, GKS Women Fellowship, Accra Branch was invited to read a welcome address to the appreciation of the delegates.
The opening session was brought to a close with a short praher by the Officiating Minister.
On resumption of the working session, the high table was constituted with Sister Cindy Igba-Ujene, Chairperson of GKS Women Fellowship, Nigeria and Abroad presiding over it.
Sister Joy Akinwale, Assistant Secretary,
Lord’s Ministry Sisters” Committee delivered a talk on The Danger of Immorality.
There was also an address on Our Role in God’s Work as Women Professing Godliness in our Challenging World by Sister Cindy Igba-Ujene, Chairperson, GKS Women Fellowship Nigeria and Abroad.
Still in the seminar, Sister Grace Doku-Gin handled the topic Traditions and Customs of the Church and finally Sister Odeoritse Erhisohwode, a health practitioner addressed the sisters on the topic: Kidney Diseases and Lifestyle.
There were questions and answers, vote of thanks, and announcements before the seminar was brought to a close by the grace of God.
